Cristina Rendon is an American anchor and reporter working for KTVU-TV serving as an anchor, report, and host. Previously, she worked as an anchor and reporter at KTXV / KUCW in Salt Lake City.

After graduating from high school, Cristina attended St. Mary’s University in 2004 and finished in 2006 with a degree in Media Studies and Communication. She then enrolled at St. Edward’s University where she attained a Bachelor of Arts in Communication in 2008.

Rendon serves as an anchor, report, and host at KTVU Fox 2 in Oakland, California. She also hosts a show called “Sports Focus” which features unique stories of triumphs, and Bay Area high school athletes. Cristina joined the station in December 2013 serving as a fill-in anchor and reporter and was promoted in March 2020 and worked as a weekend anchor and reporter. She also covered significant news such as the North Bay wildfires and the Bay Area protests against police brutality.
Earlier, Rendon worked for KTXV / KUCW in Salt Lake City as an anchor and reporter. During her time at KTXV, she covered various news such as the Sundance Film Festival, extreme weather events, and the fight for LGBT marriage equality. She also assisted in opening up the CW 30 sister station.
Prior to working at KTXV, Cristina worked as a reporter for one year and two months at KRGV-TV in Brownsville, Texas. After that, she secured a position as a bureau chief in July 2009 working there for two years at KRGV-TV. While there, Rendon reported important news mainly focusing on immigration issues, courts, and crime problems. In addition, she also covered the fight against drug trafficking from Mexico and the southernmost county in Texas along the Mexico border.
Before this, Cristina spent five months working as an intern at FOX 7 Austin from January 2008 to May 2008. She began her career at KXAN-TV in Austin, Texas where she served as an intern from September 2007 to December 2007. Furthermore, she is also involved in community organizations where she helps in fundraising and creating awareness. Most recently, she was a volunteer at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland.
