McDowell serves as the anchor of FBN’s Mornings with Maria (weekdays 6-9 am/ET). Since joining the network, she has served in different roles including a business correspondent for the FOX News Channel (FNC) where she was the host of Bulls & Bears and a regular guest on Your World with Neil Cavuto. In addition to her roles at the station, she often appears on other FNC programs like CAVUTO Live (Saturdays 10 am-12 pm/ET) and Outnumbered (weekdays 12-1 pm/ET).
Prior to her joining the journalism industry, she wrote a personal finance column for TheStreet.com named “Dear Dagen.” She also worked for SmartMoney.com and SmartMoney magazine. McDowell started her journalism career at the Institutional Investor’s newsletter division where she served as a financial journalist.
