Darla Miles is an American Emmy award-winning reporter working at WABC-TV where she serves as a general assignment reporter. She joined WABC-TV in 2009, after previously working at ABC News.

While working at WABC-TV, she has covered international breaking news stories such as the arrest of Dominique Strauss-Kahn and the terror bombing in Times Square. Miles has also interviewed luminaries such as Oprah Winfrey, Jesse Jackson, and Senator John McCain. Prior to joining WABC-TV, she worked at WFAA-TV in Dallas where she served as a reporter/anchor while she was there, she received a nomination for Lone Star Emmy Award. In addition, Darla has also worked at WTVD-TV in Raleigh as a reporter and while there, she worked on the Duke University lacrosse rape investigation featured as an ABC World News exclusive on Good Morning America.
Furthermore, she has also worked at WJBF-TV in Augusta, Georgia where she served as a reporter, anchor, and Aiken Bureau Chief. Darla started her broadcasting career at WCLK Radio in Atlanta and later on, she secured a position at ONDA Madrid Radio in Madrid, Spain. She also worked at CNN Radio Notícias where she broadcasted in Spanish and was among the original team that launched CNN en Español as a 24-hour network. While working at CNN, she served as a weekend anchor for CNN Headline News.
In addition, Miles is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and Investigative Reporters and Editors. Most of her free time is spent mentoring young African American girls. Ft. Worth, Texas is her native home and she attended Atlanta Spelman College where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Spanish. Darla has also studied abroad at the Instituto Internacional in Madrid, Spain. She has traveled throughout Europe and has also visited the Caribbean, South America, and Africa. During her leisure time, she enjoys entertaining, traveling, and spending ample time with her family and close friends.
