Kemberly Richardson Biography

Kemberly Richardson is an American multi-Emmy award-winning reporter working at WABC-TV where she serves as a weekday and weekend reporter. Richardson joined WABC-TV in 2003, after previously working at BET Nightly News. 

While serving as a reporter, she has covered a wide range of stories in the United States, the Caribbean, and overseas. She attended Syracuse University where she graduated in 2003, with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Later on, she started her career at WNET in New York City before she later relocated to Indiana where she worked at WPTA as a reporter. She also worked as a reporter at KNTV in San Jose, not long after, she returned to New York City and joined FOX 5  as part of the national on-air team which launched BET Nightly News and also worked with Fleishman Hillard, who was the public relations leader.

In 2003, she joined  WABC and since then, she continues to be front and center keeping viewers in the loop with breaking news and exclusive interviews. She has covered fashion week, the September 11th terror attack in New York to Super Bowls, Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico, William and Kate’s Royal wedding in London, and many interviews with celebrities and other public figures. In addition, Kemberly was born in Washington DC, and brought up in Westchester County, New York. During her free time, she enjoys spending ample time with her family.
