Darwin Singleton is an American Anchor/Reporter working with NBC 15 News where he serves the station as a co-anchor along with Kelly Foster/reporter. Previously, he worked for CBS affiliate WKYT-TV in Lexington as a South Kentucky Bureau reporter and later as a police beat reporter.

Singleton works with NBC 15 News where he serves the station as a co-anchor alongside Kelly Foster. He states that he will continue to provide on-the-ground reporting as well as the occasional feature segment that has helped him establish himself as a fixture in the Mobile/Pensacola television community since 1987.

In high school and community college, he worked in local radio before transferring to the University of Kentucky in Lexington. He then worked in radio in Lexington until 1980, when he made the switch to television news. In his hometown of Hazard, he became the weekend anchor for CBS affiliate WYMT-TV.

Darwin, tired of the snow and cold of winter, flew south to the Gulf in 1987, landing at the local CBS affiliate in Mobile. Singleton accepted a position as a feature reporter at WPMI NBC15 News in late 1999, with his popular “Here’s Darwin!” reports.

Darwin moved to the a.m. anchor desk in 2014, giving him yet another opportunity to interact with his devoted viewers. He also owns a century-old home in the city’s Old Dauphin Way Historic District in Midtown Mobile. He is a strong supporter of Mobile’s vibrant downtown. Darwin’s love of Carnival has earned him the moniker “Mobile’s Mr. Mardi Gras” at NBC15.
