Dawne Gee is an American anchor, reporter, and host working at WAVE 3 where she serves on the weekday at 5:30 p.m and 7:30 p.m anchor and host of WAVE Country with Dawne Gee which airs weekdays at 2 p.m. She joined WAVE3 in August 1994.
While serving as the host of WAVE Country, the show highlights events of interest happening in the area, and people making a difference in our community, and it features; authors, fashions, local restaurants, newsmakers, and current events. For our years, she served as the host of WAVE Listens in addition to distinguished herself with the production of the WAVE Step Awards that first aired live in February 1997. In addition, she is actively involved in the community and she serves on the Board of the Brain Injury Association of Kentucky.
Furthermore, Dawne joined Pleasure Ridge Park/University of Louisville in 1977 where she graduated in 1981, with a Bachelor of Applied Science in biology and communications. She also devotes her time to organizations such as; the American Lung Association, Spina Bifida Association, Community Health Charities, Lupus Foundation of America, St. Baldrick’s Foundation, Multiple Sclerosis Society, GuardiaCare Advisory Council, American Cancer Society, and Indian Summer Camp.
