Dean Jones Biography

Dean Jones is an American meteorologist working at KWCH 12 where he serves as a weekday morning meteorologist. He joined KWCH 12 in February 2011, and he also works at Neurocrine Biosciences where he serves as a NeuroPsych account specialist.  

In August 1985, Jones joined the University of Florida where he graduated in May 1990, with a bachelor of science in atmospheric science and meteorology. Later on, he joined Mississippi State University where he earned a Master of Science in meteorology and geosciences in August 1992.

Jones works at KWCH 12 where he serves as a weekend morning meteorologist. For a number of years, he worked at WeatherData, Inc where he served as the severe storms and warnings manager. While he worked at WeatherData, Inc, his responsibilities included forecasting and issuing warnings for clients across the United States and Mexico. He has also worked at KSNW for 8 years and while he was there, he served as a weekend morning meteorologist.

In addition, during the week, he is a full-time pharmaceutical sales representative. During his leisure time, he enjoys hunting in extreme weather conditions during the Fall/Winter, working out at the gym, fishing in the Spring/Summer, golfing, and being outdoors.
