Denise Middleton Biography

Denise Middleton is an American anchor and reporter working for FOX 26. She has been working for the station since April 2019.

Denise Middleton Career

Middleton serves as the weekend morning anchor and reporter at FOX 26. She went to James Madison Senior High School and later on joined the University of Houston. While still in school, she managed to receive quite a number of scholarship programs including the Linda Lorelle Scholarship Foundation, the Evan E. Worthing Scholarship Fund, and the Soul Patrol Scholarship Program.

She was also selected to deliver a keynote speech at a fundraising gala during her senior year for Soul Patrol, with former first lady Barbara Bush and former president George H.W. Bush in attendance. Middleton started her journalism career in Hastings, Nebraska where she served as a general assignment reporter. She left the station and joined a station in Shreveport, Louisiana, where she served as a morning reporter and anchor.

She, later on, joined a station in Little Rock, Arkansas where she served as an evening anchor as well as a reporter for about 5 years. During her time in Arkansas, she was among the journalists at the station to enclose on Arkansas’ controversial executions of multiple inmates in 2017. She also managed to enclose a ton of natural disasters including winter storms and tornadoes. After her tenure in Arkansas, she joined FOX 26.

Middleton is also an active member of the National Association of Black Journalists. When not busy working, she enjoys watching movies, volunteering, cheering on the UH Cougars at all of their sporting events, and mentoring. Furthermore, she also enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends, especially her husband and children.
