Kopi Sotiropulos is a Greek-born American Actor/Voice artist/Meteorologist working with FOX26/KMPH News where he serves the station as a weather reporter. He also serves the station as a co-anchor, along with Kim Stephens, the station’s Great Day weekday morning talk/news program.
Kopi Sotiropulos Education
Sotiropulos, a Fresno High School graduate, attended Fresno City College before transferring to Fresno State University during his sophomore year to pursue a degree in broadcasting. After high school, His thoughts turned to higher education. He worked in the Fresno City College Coffee Shop for five semesters before transferring to San Francisco State, where he majored in the exciting and glamorous field of broadcasting.

His first day at Fremont Elementary School was eventful. He didn’t speak English, but he smiled, made friends, and learned. Sotiropulos continued his education at Hamilton Jr. High, where he served as Student Body Vice President. He ran on the promise of getting rid of all the gum under the desks and instituting a three-day school week.
It was a resounding victory. Everyone laughed. He had a good idea. At Fresno High, he abandoned his political ambitions in favor of a career in sports. He was the baseball team’s batboy before reaching the pinnacle of his athletic career and becoming a Varsity Yell Leader alongside Bob Price, Sharon Papoogian, and Maggie Mosgrove.
He found gainful employment in his chosen profession with KMPH TV 26 in Visalia after graduating. His immigrant parents were overjoyed. In October 1971, the month KMPH began broadcasting, he was hired as a commercial copywriter. It was not a Fox affiliate at the time. He wrote, produced, shot, edited, and performed in commercials and promos for six years and had the pleasure of hosting “Dialing for Dollars.” He never revealed as much as Regis does, but his jackets were more exciting.
