Kacmarik serves as a meteorologist at Bay News 9. After several years at Air Science Consultants, she moved on to work at WTOV-TV in Steubenville, Ohio where she served as a weather forecaster. She previously worked at Lexington, Kentucky’s WLEX-TV, where she was Chief Meteorologist; WATE-TV in Knoxville, Tenn.; and WDAF-TV in Kansas City, Mo., prior to joining the Tampa Bay area as a meteorologist for WTSP, Channel 10.
When coming to her education, Kacmarik went to Penn State University in State College, Penn., where she attained her Bachelor of Science degree in meteorology where she started her journalism career. After graduating from college, she started working at Air Science Consultants in Bridgeville, Penn., where she served as a radio forecaster and wrote forecasts for several large newspapers.
Kacmarik is an active member of the American Meteorological Society and also holds its Certified Broadcast Meteorologist seal. Whenever she is not working, she enjoys spending her free time with her loved ones (family and friends).
