Eddie Aldrine Biography

Eddie Aldrine is an American storm chaser who was best known for his time at KWCH 12 where he served as a contract storm chaser. He has been fascinated by storms from a young age. 

Since Aldrine’s childhood days, he has always been interested in the weather. While he was brought up in Topeka, he would watch tall storm clouds roll in from the west, and when he was 6 years old a tornado hit his high, Topeka West High School while he was nearby since then, he grew more interested in the weather. In addition, he can recall the night when two tornados occurred separately in the Topeka area that night. While he was a young man, he would drive out county roads of Northeast Kansas as he tried to find different kinds of severe weather phenomena.

Furthermore, while he was at Washburn University, he took up classes in meteorology and weather forecasting. Eddie lent a hand in creating the Kansas Storm Intercept Team which consists of a group of chasers who are passionate about weather. Ever since he began chasing storms, he has chased over 50 tornadoes including a few hundred yards away from where he resides. The storms he has covered range from the small EF-0s to EF-4 monsters and he still tries for that elusive EF-5. Over the years, he has chased storms in Texas, Kansas, Missouri, Colorado, Iowa, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Nebraska.
