Bryan works as a TV host at WUSA-TV in Washington D.C. She joined the station in April 2016 working as a traffic reporter and anchor and later on she became a TV host in August 2019. While there at WUSA-TV, Ellen has covered a wide range of news including The Women’s March and March for Our Lives and two historic presidential elections. On top of this, she has also covered various DC sports events such as the Nationals World Series, the Mystics becoming WNBA champions, and the Stanley Cup.

Earlier, Bryan spent two years reporter as a reporter at KXAS-TV in Dallas, Fort Worth. Before working at KXAS-TV, she worked in Lexington, Kentucky as a news reporter and anchor at WTVQ-TV. She served the station for one year and ten months from July 2012 to April 2014.

Ellen began her career at WCSM-FM in Celina, Ohio where she served as an on-air personality and news writer from 2008 to 2010. After that, she moved from Celina to Lima where she landed a role as an intern before later being ranked editor and reporter at WLIO-TV in Lima, Ohio. In addition to working as a host, Bryan also serves as a speaker where she gives speeches to the community and organisations. She is also the author of a book called A Work in Progress inspired by her online series Minute Motivation.

Bryan started her pageant career while still studying at Ball State University and emerged as the winner of the Miss Lake Festival title in 2008. The following year, she appeared in the Miss Ohio pageant and finished in no.4 winning the Erica Gelhaus crown. In June 2010, Ellen won the Miss Miami Valley title, and a few months later she finished in the third position winning the Becky Minger in the 2010 Miss Ohio pageant.

Later on, Ellen won the Miss Clayland crown and got the opportunity to compete in the Miss Ohio pageant in 2011. Thereafter, she worked at lightning safety and partnered with NOAA where she served as a national spokesperson. This happened after her older sister, Christina was struck by lightning in June of 2000. Her popularity increased in 2011 when she was given the Senate Resolution 106 by the 129th Ohio General Assembly. Moreover, Bryan also completed three competitions from January 2012 to June 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
