Eric Rasmussen is a well-reputed American Emmy Award-winning Journalist working at KSTP-TV as an Investigative Reporter. He joined KSTP-TV in December 2018. He has reported and anchored for TV stations around the country including Orlando, Oakland/San Francisco, and Boston.

He then traveled to South Texas in 2019 and found the original birth records of a Minnesota Marine veteran after his own government challenged his citizenship and rejected his application for a passport. Prior to joining KSTP-TV, he worked at WFXT Boston 25 News as an Investigative Reporter from November 2015 to November 2018. From March 2011 to October 2015, he was an Investigative Reporter at KTVU 2.
Before that, he worked as a Reporter at WFTV from January 2007 to March 2011. From February 2003 to December 2006, he worked at KFSN-TV as a Reporter/anchor. He then was an Anchor/Reporter at WCIA-TV from February 2001 to February 2003. From 1999 to 2001, he worked at KHSL-TV as a Reporter/Anchor. Because of his exemplary work, he has won multiple regional Murrow and Emmy awards including, “Outstanding Reporter” in the Upper Midwest in 2019 and “Outstanding Investigative Reporter” in New England in 2018. When he is not reporting, he can often be found behind the turntables pursuing his other passion as a DJ.
