Erin Coogan Biography
Erin Coogan is an American multimedia journalist working for KITV 4 Island News as a weekday and weekend multimedia journalist. She joined KITV 4 in June 2021, after previously working at KUSI-TV as a production assistant and news writer.
In 2013, Coogan joined Canyon Crest Academy where she graduated with a diploma in 2017. She then joined Chapman University where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in broadcast journalism in May 2021. While she attended Chapman University, she was an active member of the nationally recognized college news program: Chapman News in addition to serving as the sideline reporter for their live basketball and football broadcasts.
Furthermore, while she was still in school. she worked as a news writer at KUSI which is a locally owned station in her hometown of San Diego, California. Erin is very passionate about sports and while she was at Chapman University, she competed on the school’s softball team.
