George Waldenberger Biography

George Waldenberger is an American meteorologist working for WFTV serving as a meteorologist. He has been working for the station since joining in January 2013.

Waldenberger serves as a meteorologist at WFTV. He previously worked for KSHB-TV where he served as a meteorologist from January 2010 to December 2012. During his tenure here, he was in charge of anchoring TV News weather forecasts, ad storm chasing hence presenting LIVE reports from the helicopter.

Prior to KSHB-TV, he worked at Snow Creek Ski Area where he served as a snowboard instructor from January 2011 to March 2012 in Missouri, USA. Before that, he spent about 2 years and 6 months working at KJRH where he served as a meteorologist from August 2007 to January 2010.

During his tenure here, he was in charge of anchoring the forecasts and writing and producing science stories for the network. Prior to that, he worked for KTLA where he served as a weather producer from October 2004 to September 2005 in Greater Los Angeles. He had previously spent about 2 years working at UCLA where he served as a graduate student researcher from 2003 to 2005.

Waldenberger started his career at Mueser Rutledge Consulting Engineers where he served as a Geotechnical Engineer from April 2000 to September 2001. For seven years, he forecasted snowstorms, thunderstorms, heatwaves, and ice storms in the Central Plains. The job in tornado alley provided valuable experience tracking the various Florida thunderstorms, from Sioux City, Iowa, to Tulsa and Kansas City.
