Heather Hope is an American journalist working for WRIC as a co-anchor in the 8News at 4 newscast opposite Eric Philips and John Bernier since joining the station in August 2022. Previously, he worked for KFMB in San Diego as a TV news reporter for 7 years.

Hope joined Ohio State University in 2005 when she finished her high school education. In 2009, she graduated with honors, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism. She also worked as a graduate teaching assistant for the campus newspaper. Further, she appeared on the inaugural cover of OSUnity Magazine and was the co-founder of the university’s first chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists.
Hope furthered her studies at the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School, receiving her Master’s degree in Broadcast Journalism in 2011. Hope kickstarted her TV career in Bakersfield, where she served KGET. There, she shot, wrote, and edited her own stories and filled in as an anchor. She also broadcasted a lethal mass shooting at the Tule Indian Reservation and reported on Allensworth, the initial town in California established exclusively by African Americans in 1908.
