Jake Whittenberg is an American anchor and reporter working for KING 5 as the morning anchor and co-anchor with Mimi Jung. He has been working for the station since joining in February 2010. He also serves as an anchor at NBC News.

Whittenberg serves as the morning anchor and co-anchor with Mimi Jung at KING 5 News. In addition to these roles at the station, he also works at KONG in Western Washington every morning. Ever since he joined KING5, he has enclosed several stories all across Eastern Washington, Seattle, Pearl Harbor, and Cuba just to mention a few.
Whittenberg previously worked at ABC 6/WSYX-TV where he served as a news reporter from February 2008 till his departure in 2010 in Columbus, Ohio, USA. Before that, he worked at KTVQ where he served as a TV News Reporter from December 2004 to January 2007.
Ever since he started his journalism career, he has managed t win several awards including seven regional Emmy Awards. He is also a recipient of Associated Press Broadcaster of the Year as well as other reporting and writing accolades. In addition to that, he formerly worked as an appointee to the Montana Film and Television advisory council.
Whittenberg went to Montana State University where he graduated with a media, and theatre arts degree. Whenever he is not working, he enjoys spending his free time with his family and friends. He also emcees several community events as well as golf tournaments. In addition to that, he also loves fly fishing, golfing, and telling stories.
