Jess Arnold is an American Emmy Award-Winning reporter working for WUSA 9 News serving as a reporter. Before joining the station in January 2019, she worked for WBND as a multimedia journalist.

Arnold attended North Penn High School in 2009 where she graduated with a diploma in 2012. After that, she enrolled at Penn State University in 2012, where she attained a minor in international business and Spanish. She also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism and marketing. During her time at college, Arnold was hired at ComRadio as a reporter and anchor from January 2013 to May 2013. From there, she landed a role as a sales intern at TransPerfect from May 2014 to July 2014. Besides working as a reporter, she also worked as a nanny at The Ulmer Family where she looked after three kids.

Arnold serves as a reporter at WUSA 9, the CBS affiliate in Washington D.C. She joined the station in January 2019 working as a multi-skilled journalist before later accepting a position as a reporter. Previously, Jess worked for WBND in South Bend, Indiana as a multimedia journalist. A few months later, she was promoted to weekend anchor where she hosted her series called Real Michiana which addresses issues that impacted the community. She worked for the station for two years and six months from June 2016 to November 2018.
Earlier, Arnold spent ten months working as an anchor, reporter, and executive producer at WPSU-TV in Pennsylvania. Her duties at the station included gathering news, reviewing scripts, and editing videos. Before working at WPSU-TV, Jess served as a production director at the State of State from August 2013 to May 2016. During her time there, she managed videographers and conducted community interviews with leaders and members.
In addition to working at the State of State, Arnold also served as a digital media intern at Discovery Communications from June 2015 to August 2015. She began her career as a reporter, anchor, and associate producer at PSN-TV. Besides working at PSN-TV, Jess also worked for the Buenos Aires Herald as a media reporter and artist. She also conducted various interviews with directors and actors as well as published articles.
Her remarkable story includes the story of 10 students who were stuck on the island of Lesbos for five days and the refugee crisis that affected several families. She also covered the stories of women who left everything to save their families in Iraq, Iranian, and Syria. On top of this, Jess also created a documentary series about the refugee crisis, which earned her the First Place Mark of Excellence Award and Regional Mid-Atlantic College Emmy Award.
