Jessica Guay Biography
Jessica Guay is an American journalist who serves as a news reporter and anchor at KDKA-TV. KDKA-TV is the CBS affiliate in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States.
Guay’s passion for journalism began at a young age when she discovered how much she enjoyed doing research, conducting interviews with new people, and sharing important stories.
She always knew she wanted to be a journalist in the Steel City and she has been in and around the the Pittsburgh area for over a decade.
Jessica Guay Education
Guay attended West Virginia University’s Perley Isaac Reed School of Journalism from where she graduated with Cum Laude in December 2013. She majored in Television Journalism and minored in English.
In college, she was the main anchor and a reporter for WVU News which is an award-winning newscast produced by Television Journalism students at WVU. She interned at WBOY-TV in Morgantown, WV, and also at WDEL News Talk Radio in Wilmington, DE.

Guay has worked in several markets across the country. Guay has worked at WTOV in Steubenville, Ohio as a news anchor, multimedia journalist, and producer. While there, she produced and solo anchored Saturday mornings’ show. She later reported, shot, and edited stories for later newscasts. Guay also produced and anchored on Sunday nights. On weekdays, she served as a multi-media journalist and reported on breaking and relevant news.
She later worked at WCHS in Charleston, West Virginia as an anchor and reporter. Guay anchored the 6, 10, and 11 p.m. shows and produced the 6 and 11 p.m. newscasts. She also reported for the evening shows during the week. While there, Guay discovered that she was fascinated by covering the breaking news. In June 2016, she covered the historic flood that claimed the lives of 23 people. Guay also kept her viewers in the know during a deadly plane crash at Yeager Airport in Charleston.
Guay later worked at WJAC in Johnstown, Pennsylvania as a morning anchor and reporter. During her tenure there, she won several awards for her feature reporting. Jessica made a difference in the society by telling stories about people and animals. She has a weekly segment called “Making a Difference with Jessica Guay” that allows me to write and edit feature stories about people helping their community.
Jessica joined the KDKA-TV news team as a reporter in February 2021.
