Jim Lokay Biography
Jim Lokay is an American journalist who serves as 5 pm and 10 pm Anchor at FOX 5 DC, Host of “Like It or Not” and the top-rated “The Final 5” in Washington, District of Columbia, United States.
He joined FOX 5 DC as an anchor and reporter in November 2015.

Lokay attended California University of Pennsylvania from where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies. While in College, he covered dozens of high school football teams throughout Western Pennsylvania. He lugged the camera around, shot the games, and turned around the highlights for a local cable channel. Lokay also did play-by-play for California University athletics. He grew passionate about the news during the 2000 elections.

Lokay began his television career as a news anchor and editor for Metro Networks in Pittsburgh where he worked from June 20002 to September 2003. There, he oversaw newsgathering efforts for several local morning radio newscasts. He also voiced news wraps and produced news summaries for a national wire service.
Lokay later served as an anchor and digital journalist for News 10 Now (YNN)/Time Warner Cable in Syracuse, New York Area from August 2003 to August 2005. He served as a reporter, anchor and covered high school football. He joined KDKA-TV as a reporter and anchor in Greater Pittsburgh Area in August 2005.
Lokay spent six years at the station where he was hired as a traffic reporter. He later served on the anchor desk and in the field. Jim co-hosted a Pittsburgh Steelers pre-game show with Hines Ward, Ryan Clark, and Antwaan Randle-El. He also did intermission reports for Pittsburgh Penguins preseason games. Lokay made coverage of two Super Bowl parades, the 2006 Major League Baseball All-Star game, one Stanley Cup parade, and the 2011 Winter Classic between the Pens and Caps.
Lokay joined WCVB in Boston in 2011 as a news and sports anchor/reporter. While there, he was one of the anchors on the air when the bombs went off at the Boston Marathon finish line. He also covered the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, among others. Lokay also had her own series where he profiled exceptional high school seniors battling back from life challenges.
