From October 2016 to March 2018, she was a reporter and fill-in anchor at WDVM-TV localDVM.com. There, she was the employee of the month (March 2017). Prior to that, she worked at ABC News as a Good Morning American Intern. There, she pitched stories to air, conducted research for Investigative Unit (GMA-I), and logged videos. She was a News Production Assistant at ABC11 Eyewitness News – WTVD from August 2015 to May 2016. During her stint there, she operated the teleprompter, robotic cameras, and lighting in the studio, also, she worked with on-air talent by floor directing managing mics, and marketing scripts.
For two years and 10 months, she worked for Campbell NOW! TV in two roles. First, as a Sports Reporter from August 2015 to April 2016 and second as an anchor from August 2013 to May 2016. From January 2013 to May 2016, she was a Staff Writer at The Campbell Times Student Newspaper. Sierra interned at WNCN from June 2015 to August 2015. Also, she was a Raleigh Television Network Summer Youth Employee for the City of Raleigh from June 2011 to August 2012. There, she was the floor manager for the City Show with City Manager and was responsible for editing PSA videos and writing her own voiceover monologues.
