Joe Roetz is an American Emmy-winning anchor and reporter working for WSVN. He joined the station in October 2016 from NBC2.

Roetz serves as an anchor at WSVN from NBC2 Fort Myers where he worked for about 6 years. During his tenure at NBC2, he managed to enclose quite a number of stories and events including former President Barack Obama’s first trip to the Florida Everglades in 2015. He also enclosed the Lee County Government’s handling of taxpayer-funded VR Labs. Roetz has also managed to win several awards ever since he started his journalism career including an Emmy award in 2014 for his coverage of a Naples family who moved to Colorado to seek treatment in the form of a marijuana-based liquid.
Roetz was also among the team that won a Regional Edward R. Murrow Award for his underwater coverage of an art exhibit on board the scuttled U.S.C.G. U.S.S. Mohawk in 2013. He has also managed to win quite a number of Associated Press Awards for enclosing then again for his 2012 continuing coverage of the sinking of the U.S.S. Mohawk and the 2010 State Amendments
Roetz went to Temple University where he graduated. After he graduated from college, he started his journalism career working for WTXF-TV in Philadelphia where he served as a reporter and producer. He left the station and joined WZBN-TV in Trenton, New Jersey where he worked for several months, and later on joined a station in Syracuse, New York. While in Syracuse, New York, he worked for two stations; WSTM and WTVH for about two years. Whenever he is not working, he enjoys spending his free time with his family and friends. He also enjoys running races, skydiving, and scuba diving.
