Joel Brown is an American Reporter/Anchor working for ABC11 serving as the anchor of the 4 p.m. evening edition of Eyewitness News as well as reports LIVE from around the Triangle at 11 p.m. He has been working for the station since joining in September 2011.

Brown serves as the anchor of the 4 p.m. evening edition of Eyewitness News as well as reports LIVE from around the Triangle at 11 p.m. He previously worked for CBS NewsPath, the network’s affiliate service where he served as a Washington-based correspondent. Brown also enclosed politics from The White House and Capitol Hill for about 4 years.

He also managed to go to several cities all across the states and beyond so as to enclose several events. For instance, he enclosed the historic 2008 presidential election and the final launch of NASA’s space shuttle program at Kennedy Space Center. Prior to CBS NewsPath, he worked for WSVN where he served as a reporter as well as a fill-in anchor in South Florida for about 3 years.

While here, he enclosed the minute-by-minute details of the Terri Schiavo “right to die” case in 2005. He also enclosed several tropical weather events including the busiest on record, the ’05 Hurricane season. Prior to WSVN, he worked for KETK, the NBC affiliate in Tyler, TX where he served as the 5:00 anchor and education beat reporter.
