He joined the station in June 2003 as the Luzerne County beat reporter and has served the station for over 2 decades. Previously, he worked for WJAC-TV in Johnstown as a weekend anchor and reporter.

The following year, he received another PAB for his extensive on-air broadcast of the unforgettable flooding of 2011. He also won another PAB for his feature reports about a World War II veteran who was the subject of a best-selling novel about his heroic story from the war.
Meyer previously worked for WJAC-TV in Johnstown as a weekend anchor and reporter. There, he played an instrumental role in WJAC’s coverage of the September 11, 2001, attack on America. United Airlines Flight 93 crashed only 20 miles from Johnstown in Somerset County. He was the first reporter on the scene and followed the story extensively for the successive weeks and months. His records of the crash and his experiences broadcasting are featured in multiple books about September 11 and its aftermath.
