Josh Einiger Biography

Josh Einiger is an American journalist currently working as the Tri-state’s biggest stories on the station’s top-rated Eyewitness News at 11. He joined WABC-TV as a reporter in September 2009.

Josh Einiger Career

Josh has covered major news events throughout the world for WABC, including mass shootings in Parkland and Orlando, FL, as well as hurricanes in Florida, Texas, and Puerto Rico. He covered the Manchester concert bombing and the fire at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. He received an Emmy for his reporting on the Trump administration’s “family separation” policy at the Mexican border, and he has covered the Trump presidency extensively from Washington. Josh was present when the Boston Marathon bomber was apprehended.

Josh has also received Emmys for his coverage of a terrorist attack on a Manhattan bike lane and a fatal helicopter crash in the East River. He kept track of everything. He covered the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy, as well as a slew of other severe weather disasters in and around New York. He oversaw WABC’s coverage of the hunt for a serial killer in Gilgo Beach as the station’s Long Island Reporter.

Josh worked as a reporter in Philadelphia, Orlando, and Albany before joining WABC, and also freelanced as a national correspondent for Fox News stations. In New York and Philadelphia, he began his career as a field producer, photographer, and assignment editor.
