Kaitlin Monte is an American journalist currently working for Fox-owned KRIV in Houston, TX as the co-anchor of the station’s weeknight newscast at 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. and is the solo anchor of The News Edge at 10 p.m.

Kaitlin was a reporter and Emmy-appointed traffic anchor for PIX11 Morning News in New York City. She had spent many years as host of Mets Insider for SNYtv and BBC New York as host of an immersive trivia segment for Weekend Today in New York. Kaitlin will become a spokesperson for the 2011 anti-bullying campaign in her native state of New York. She founded an online petition to introduce the issue of cyberbullying to New York lawmakers, leading to a collaboration with legislators at the start of the first-ever New York Cyberbully Survey, which provides legislators with definitive statistics on the breadth of the issue.

Kaitlin worked as an analyst on MSNBC, Al Jazeera America, and was the No Spot for Hate® Anti-Defamation League ‘Difference Builder of the Year’ in 2012 for its ‘Anti-Bullying By Leadership’ workshop series. Kaitlin has been chosen by Randomhouse Publishing as part of the Bullying Audiobook series alongside “13 Reasons Why” author Jay Asher.

Kaitlin is currently interested in focusing on new technologies and their effects on society. While in New York City, she spent several years partnering with agencies to provide social media content data targeting and analysis. Her enthusiasm for technology began at an early age: at the age of 16, Kaitlin dropped out of high school to begin her freshman year at Clarkson University, a pioneering STEM education college, where she later worked as a trustee. Thanks to her role in Project Lead The Way, Kaitlin graduated college with a full semester of engineering credits under her belt.

Prior to tv, Kaitlin had spent five years visiting the world with the United Services Organization (USO) as part of its official entertainment branch. She remains a member of our army through her service with USO Houston.
