Kalie Marantette is an American journalist who has been working for WTOL as an evening co-anchor and investigative reporter since she was promoted in April 2024. She joined the station in January 2022 as a multimedia journalist. Previously, she worked for WLNS in Lansing, Michigan, as a reporter and multimedia journalist for nearly half a decade.

Marantette joined Oakland Community College in 2014 under a volleyball scholarship as an outside hitter when she finished her studies at Lakeland High School. She studied there until the spring of 2016, when she transferred to the University of Kentucky. There, she broadcasted UK sports and interned at the SEC Sports Media. In 2018, she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor Of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism.

During her time in Lansing, Marantette worked with Habitat for Humanity, finding her passion for nonprofit work and being involved in the community. She spearheaded the coverage of the COVID-19 pandemic, Black Lives Matter protests, and the scheme to abduct Gov. Gretchen Whitmer in 2020. She also won an MAB Best News Reporter Award.

Marantette discovered her love for journalism when she was a young child watching news stations in Detroit. In elementary school, her school used to have mock newscasts. In high school, she attended all the broadcast and writing classes she could, making her realize that news was what she wanted to do.
