Kendrick Haskins Biography

Kendrick Haskins is an American sports anchor/reporter working at WAVE 3 where he serves as a Weekend sports anchor/reporter. He joined the WAVE 3 in May 2004, as a sports photojournalist, however, he has been part of the WAVE family since May 2000.

Louisville is his native home and he joined WAVE as an editor and rose up the ranks to his current position as a sports anchor/reporter. Over the years, he has covered sports events, engineering live shots, and news events before he landed exclusively in the sports department. Since he joined the sports department, he has won first place for sports highlights in 2005, Kentucky News Photographer Association’s annual contest.

Additionally, he has covered many tournaments and NCAA basketball games, Breeders’ Cup events, Orange Bowl, PGA Championship,  The College World Series, Music City Bowl, Little League World Series, Ryder Cup, Gator Bowl, and Kentucky Derby. Furthermore, he attended Fern Creek High School where he graduated in 1993, and in 1998, he graduated from Murray State. During Kendrick’s free time, he enjoys video games, hanging out with family and close friends, and playing a variety of sports such as basketball.
