Kimberly Gale Biography
Kimberly Gale is a Canadian reporter, anchor, and correspondent working for CBC News. She joined the station in 2009 as a news anchor and reporter.

After graduating from high school and earning her Diploma in General Education from her high school in her hometown. She had to further her education and joined Ryerson University to pursue her course. After finishing her studies there, she graduated with her bachelor of journalism in broadcasting. In addition to that, she joined the University of Toronto where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in anthropology. During her time there, she conducted a year-long independent study on punk rock culture.

Gale is the news anchor on CBC Radio One 99.1 FM. She anchors on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Since 2009, she has been reporting and anchoring for CBC Toronto radio and television. Gale has also filed for The National, World Report, and Dispatches. Throughout her career journey, she has traveled extensively and worked on three continents. She was selected by CBC for an assignment with Journalists for Human Rights in November 2013. She traveled to Sierra Leone to train reporters covering the country’s presidential election
Prior to joining the CBC News team, she worked in Dubai, United Arab. While there, she served as a reporter and newsreader at a national radio station for over a year. During her time there, she also worked as a teaching assistant at a women-only university in her spare time. In addition, she taught English in Fukushima, Japan. She returned there in 2012 to report for CBC on the first anniversary of the triple disaster.
Her journalism career job began at the Toronto radio station Newstalk 1010. Gale worked for Global News Toronto as a writer and also as a media training aid with the Canadian Armed Forces. During her leisure time, she likes volunteering at a drop-in centre for street-involved women. In addition to that, she co-chaired an initiative that teaches these women photography skills, the Exposure Project. Their photos help raise money for the drop-in center they access and educate the public on the realities of life on Toronto’s streets.
