Kyle Hanson is an American Meteorologist working for Charter Communications where he serves the team as a Meteorologist since October 2022. Prior to this, he was working for NBC 15/WPMI-TV where he served the station as a Weather Presenter. He had been working with the NBC 15 Weather team from September 2019 to September 2022.

Hanson works for Charter Communications serving the team as a Meteorologist. Prior to this, he was working for NBC 15 News where he serves the station as a Meteorologist. Prior to NBC 15, he was working with ABC Affiliate station, KVIA-TV in West Texas where he was serving the station as a Meteorologist for about two years.

His passion for weather began at a young age as he spent his childhood chasing hurricanes and post-tropical storms along the New England Coast. He is a proud Boston native where he was born and raised. However, he has resided in the South since he attended college at NC State.

While he was at NC State, he learned how to forecast everything from snow storms to Hurricanes. Later on, he landed his first job working as a Meteorologist in El Paso where flash flooding and severe thunderstorms were (surprisingly) quite common for the desert climate.

He states that he is happy to be back in a coastal climate and loves spending time outdoors at the beach, golfing, and fishing. Hanson also states that Tropical Weather is also what originally sparked his interest in weather. His favorite hobbies away from work include country dancing as he is a big fan of country music, especially George Strait, and playing guitar.
