Lauren Scafidi is an American Anchor working with Doppler 9 & 10 News where he serves the station as a co-anchor for Michigan This Morning. She joined the station in the month of June 2017 working as a morning reporter.

Scafidi works with Doppler 9 & 10 News where he serves the station as a co-anchor for Michigan This Morning a role she has undertaken since October 2018. Through her career/stories, she has been able to come as far north as Sault Ste. Marie, as far as Mount Pleasant, and everywhere in between.

She has also covered both heartbreaking and heartwarming stories in the communities. Scafidi has also earned a Michigan Associated Broadcasters Broadcast Excellence Award for Best Feature Story, and a Michigan Association of Broadcasters Merit Award for Best Reporter.

She states that she loves starting her morning Monday to Friday from 4:30- 9 AM with Northern Michigan’s News Leader and traveling o different restaurants each week for her segment. She does Inside The Kitchen With Lauren Scafidi segments on a weekly basis. Away from work, she enjoys practicing yoga, trying to become a better golfer, and running. The Chicago native is a proud graduate of the University of Illinois in Urbana, Champaign where she was serving as president of the Society of Professional Journalists.
