Lindsay Ward is an American journalist working for KDKA CBS Pittsburgh as a morning anchor and feature reporter. She joined the station in April 2019 as a reporter. Previously, she worked for WPXI as a freelance reporter for a year.

Ward joined the Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2004 when she finished her high school education at Penns Manor High School. In 2009, she graduated with a Bachelor Of Science degree in Communication and Media Studies/ Political Science.
While in college, she took part in the National Broadcasting Society, WIUP-TV Anchor/Reporter/Producer, and IUP Majorette from 2004 to 2008. During her time in high school, she participated in the National Honor Society, Majorette, and Future Business Leaders of America.

Ward started off her career at WNEP-TV 16 in Moosic, PA, as an intern from May 2008 to August 2008. There she worked with reporters daily to better understand news gathering and learned the proper ways of editing video. From August 2008 to August 2009, she joined WLNN in North Carolina as a news anchor and reporter. There, she generated content for various broadcasts and boosted views on newly launched websites through story posts. She was also charged with delivering on air and promoting station brands at various functions.
Ward served as WVVA morning/noon news anchor and reporter at Quincy Newspapers Incorporated in Bluefield, West Virginia from September 2009 to September 2011. There, she developed into the No. 1 solo news anchor in the market while competing against 2 other stations. She also led the launch of various series that gained popularity on-air and online. Ward also committed to the ”Toys for Tots” annual campaign that raised tens of thousands of dollars and toys for children in need.
WJAC/Sinclair Broadcast Group
Ward joined Sinclair Broadcast Group in Johnstown, Pennsylvania from September 2011 to September 2017 as WJAC Morning/Noon News Anchor and reporter. There she served as a ”face of the station” to increase the company’s growth, and marketed the station at various benefits, and non-benefits events, fundraisers, and universities.

Ward also took part in campaigns to increase brand exposure, and promoted a new, local non-profit, ”Johnstown Walk of Hope,” which raised $30,000 in the first year. Ward also managed a team of 6 reporters and producers, reviewed scripts, social media posts, and on-air deliveries, and provided final feedback before live broadcasts.

From April 2018 to March 2019, she served as a freelance reporter for Cox Media Group in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. There, she was responsible for extensive exposure to social media strategies to grow viewership for the station. She obtained 7,000 followers on social media platforms by providing local, regional, and national information. Ward also shared story ideas and engaged in persistent brand promotion across Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. In the last month, attained almost 10,000 impressions per day on Twitter and she gained skills on how to post information digitally to increase website traffic.
