Lydia Hu is an American award-winning correspondent and anchor working for FOX Business Network (FBN). She joined FBN in 2021 as a correspondent.

After five years as a practicing lawyer in Baltimore, Maryland, Ms. Hu moved to a career in journalism. Since receiving her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, she received a Juris Doctor magna cum laude from the University of Baltimore School of Law. In addition, from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, she earned a Master’s Degree in Journalism, graduating with honors.

Hu serves as a correspondent at FOX Business Network based out of the network’s headquarters in New York. She had also worked for other stations prior to joining FBN. For instance, she previously worked for Spectrum News NY1 where she served as an investigative reporter. During her time at this station, she enclosed the predicament of New York City hospitals during the COVID-19 pandemic and documented on the struggles of the healthcare workers including Doctors and nurses. She was also an anchor for NY1’s personal finance platform Money on the 1. Prior to joining NY1, she worked for WBRC-TV in Birmingham, Alabama where she served as the weekend evening anchor and investigative reporter.
Hu has also managed to win several awards and honors including two New York Emmy Awards. She won a New York Emmy Award in 2019 for her special documentary called The New York City Opioid Battle. She was also awarded with a New York Emmy Award in 2021 for enclosing COVID in Lives Lost: Saying Goodbye. In addition to that, she was also honored by the Silurians Press Club, the Associated Press, and Alabama Broadcasters Association.
Hu switched her career to journalism after spending about five years practicing law in Baltimore, Maryland. Whenever she is not working, she enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends. She is also very active when it comes to her social media platforms
