Mara Mcjilton is an American Anchor and Reporter working for WECT-TV serving as a morning reporter and multimedia journalist. She joined the station in May 2021 and before that, she worked as an anchor and reporter at UT Today.

Before working at Vol Talk, McJilton served as a social media personality at Delta Gamma from March 2018 to November 2018. After that, she secured a position as a vice president of the program at the same station where she served from November 2018 to November 2019.
Mara started her career as a student intern at The Volunteer Channel-Vol Talk in Knoxville. She spent nine months working for the station from September 2017 to May 2018. Aside from working as a journalist, McJilton worked as a clerical at Central Emergency Medical Services from January 2015 to August 2018. Before joining Central Emergency, she served as an intern at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta where she worked from August 2016 to May 2017.
