Mary Nickles is an American anchor/ reporter working at KUTV where she serves as the 4:25 to 7:00 am and noon anchor. She also served as the 7 am to 9 am anchor on KJZZ. She joined the KUTV team as a weekend anchor/reporter in 1991.

In addition to her role as a morning anchor, she also served as the Check Your Health spokesperson and hosts the Workouts on the Web. Mary also writes two health blogs and does in-depth reporting for KUTV’s Emmy award-winning Best News Series in 2012.
The series began with her getting a mammogram that encouraging more women to get screened. In addition, she attended Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho under a volleyball scholarship. where she graduated with a major in English studies. Before she relocated to Utah, she worked in Yakima, Washington where she served as an anchor, reporter, producer, and editor.
Furthermore, Mary is very active in the community and serves as a mentor for young people, and is an advocate for health. She also serves as the Chair of the Advisory Board for Head Start in addition to being a board member of the Intermountain Catholic Newspaper and the Police Athletic League.
In addition, she also donates home-cooked meals and her time to assist other charities which include; the Heart Walk, Guadalupe Schools, The Multiple Sclerosis Society, The Ronald McDonald House, and Life After Breast Cancer. For years, she was a participant in the Utah Summer Games, and in 2003, she was inducted into the Hall of Honor and plays for the Utah Predators as a professional volleyball.
