Matt has more than 12 years of television news experience. He was an Anchor / Reporter for WWLP 22News in Springfield, Massachusetts for 8 years where he helped the station launch a weekend 10 PM newscast on their CW affiliate. Prior to that, Matt worked behind the camera in the production and internet departments for 4 years.
Previously, he worked at WWLP 22 News in Springfield, Massachusetts where he served as an anchor for a period of eight years. While he was in the station, he lent a hand in launching the station’s weekend at 10 PM newscast on their CW affiliate. In addition, he also worked in the internet department for four years and was behind the camera in the production.
His stories earned the station Emmy awards and MBA awards thus gaining his trust to cover major live breaking news assignments inclusive of the Boston Marathon bombing, the western Massachusetts tornado outbreak, and the Newtown school. He attended the Western New England University in Springfield where he graduated in 2010. While he was in college, he earned a number of collegiate awards inclusive of several first-place TV Reporting honors and the 2016 ‘Alumnus of the Year’ for his journalistic work.
During his leisure time, he enjoys trying new restaurants, swinging at a golf club, and playing games! Video and board games of all kinds, exploring Connecticut or Cape Cod, exploring Connecticut or Cape Cod, and being with his family and friends.
