Margaux Farrell is an American anchor who is working at FOX61 News. She joined the FOX 61 news team in April of 2017 and serves as the morning weekday anchor for the 4 am to 7 am.
Woodbridge is where she was brought up and she attended Amity High School where she graduated proudly. Later on, she joined Indiana University where she took her undergraduate degree in journalism. While she was at the university, she maintained a 3.8 GPA and was a 2-year captain of the varsity swim team and also an All-American and internationally ranked swimmer while at the University.
She interned at WFSB where she was part of its sports department and from it, she was able to secure a job at CPTV where she served as a sideline reporter. One year and a half later, in May of 2015she received her Masters’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Southern California.
Her journalism career began with her lending a hand in launching a brand new morning show called Wake Up West Texas which aired on KIDY Fox San Angelo, and KXVA Fox 15 Abilene in Texas. In addition, she began as the host of the breaking/trending news desk, and later on, she was promoted to serve as an anchor and producer.
She was able to secure a job at FOX 61 to serve as a morning reporter after working in West Texas for a duration of eighteen months. Furthermore, during her leisure time, she enjoys playing with her beloved cockapoo, catching up with friends and family, working out, and enjoying Connecticut’s distinct four seasons.
