Megan Parry Biography
Megan Parry is an American Emmy award-Winning Meteorologist working at ABC 10 News. She serves as the morning and midday newscast meteorologist. She joined the ABC 10 News news team in May 2014.
Megan Parry Education
She started her education at Twin Peaks Middle School and Poway High School. She later headed to Irvine to attain a Bachelor of Science degree in Earth and Environmental Science from the University of California, Irvine. After a brief period, she followed her dream to become a meteorologist. She headed to the South where she had a new life to earn her Master of Science in Broadcast Meteorology with a 4.0 GPA from Mississippi State University.

Parry works at ABC 10 News where she serves as a morning and midday newscast meteorologist. She worked for a short time for the California Environmental Protection Agency as an Environmental Scientist. She later went on to study Broadcast Meteorology as her dream. In the course of her time in Mississippi, she worked at WTOK, an ABC affiliate in Meridian as the weekend meteorologist. While there, she went to the Great Plains to storm chase, and she witnessed firsthand the damage felt by the 2011 Joplin, Mo., EF-5 tornado — the 7th-deadliest tornado on record.
Thereafter finishing her graduate degree, she moved to Medford, Ore. There she joined the ABC team at KDRvas the morning meteorologist. In the course of her time in Medford, she loved volunteering at the local animal shelter, adopting her second rescue dog, and hosting the annual Pet Fashion Show. She shifted to the evening newscast and was voted the second ”Most Popular TV Personality of Southern Oregon.” Four years away from Southern California and reporting a wide range of weather from thunderstorms to tornados and snowstorms, she was ready to go back home to San Diego. Parry is thrilled to be near to family and reporting her favorite type of weather, microclimates.
She has a love for animals, especially dogs. She also loves volunteering at the San Diego Humane Society with one of her three freed dogs, Coco Chanel Sprinkle. She is very active in the community, likes to travel with her husband, considers herself a nacho connoisseur, does Crossfit, and will never turn down a good craft beer.
