Mike Dandrea Biography
Mike Dandrea is an American Meteorologist working with WEAU 13 News where he serves the station as a Morning Meteorologist for Hello Wisconsin and WEAU News at Noon. He joined the WEAU 13 News team in January 2022. Prior to that, he was working with KX News where he was serving the station as a Weekend Meteorologist/MMJ between January 2021 and January 2022.

In 2009, he joined Penn-Trafoordd High School where he graduated with a diploma in 2012. Later on, he joined PennWest California University where he graduated with a Major in Meteorology and a Minor in Spanish in 2016. In addition, he has also studied at ST. Cloud State University in 2018, and in 2020, he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology.

Dandrea works with WEAU 13 News where he serves the station as a Morning Meteorologist. The Pittsburgh native has always been fascinated by the weather from a young age. He says he wanted to be a meteorologist but took several detours along the way. He is a graduate of the United States Marine Corps which took him all around the country and the globe at large.
Eventually, Mike went through and pursued his childhood dream and graduated with a Meteorology degree (with honors!) at St. Cloud State. Out of school, he first landed in the Peace Garden State before coming to the Chippewa Valley. He enjoys meeting new people, so don’t be shy to send him a message or say hello if you see him anywhere!
Dandrea landed first in the Peace Garden State before coming to Chippewa Valley. He states that he enjoys meeting new people and encourages people to say hi when they meet him out and about. Away from work, he enjoys cheering on his favorite Sports teams(Minnesota Vikings, Toronto Blue Jays, Winnipeg Jets) and spending a day at the lake. During the winters, he enjoys rooting on the Winnipeg Jets, and during the Summer rooting on the Toronto Blue Jays.
