Mangas works with KRCR-TV News where he serves the station as a News Anchor. His roots are sunk deep in the Northstate soil and matched only by his love for telling stories of the people and places he calls home. He is a proud graduate of St. Joseph Elementary School, Shasta High School, and California State University, Chico. This is with the exception of a couple of brief stints with Dignity Health. He joined the station back in 1978 working as a news reporter/anchor/sports director.
He was ordained to be a Roman Catholic Deacon in the year 1992. Mangas is all about community and is a proud member of the Redding Rotary Club. Asides from this, he has served and is serving on the boards of the United Way, the Good News Rescue Mission, Northern Valley Catholic Social Service, Shasta County Public Health, Shasta Community Health Center, and on the Advisory boards of Mercy Medical Center Redding.
