Mitchel Summers is an American sports anchor and reporter working for FOX Carolina where he serves as a weekend sports anchor and reporter. He joined FOX Carolina in May 2022, after previously working at WIBW where he also served as a sports anchor.  

Summers began appreciating athletics while he was in high school and after he joined the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2013, where he studied journalism and sports coverage and he graduated in 2017. After graduating, he was able to secure a job at a television station in Abilene, Texas and while he worked there, Mitchel covered high school football.

In September 2013, Summers joined MUTV where he served as a sports executive, and later in May 2015, he left the station. Summers later worked at RJI Futures Lab Update in Missouri where he served as a reporter for 4 months.

In addition, he has also worked at KOMU-TV in Columbia, Missouri where he served as a sports anchor and reporter till August 2017, when he left the station. In August 2016, he was able to secure a job at VOX Magazine where he was a multimedia editor for 1 year. Furthermore, he worked at TEGNA in Abilene, Texas where he served as a sports reporter for two years.
