Baker joined Spelman College in 2009 after finishing her high school education. In 2013, she graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, emphasizing Journalism & Visual Culture. Baker works as a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and acknowledges the privilege of representing female journalists in such a significant space. She is also an active legacy member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and is eager to get involved with the communities she serves in North Texas.
