Snell serves as the sports anchor and correspondent for CNN International based at CNN’s world headquarters in Atlanta, he covers the major sporting news and events for CNN’s international and domestic programming. Ever since he joined the network, he has managed to enclose several stories including the Ryder Cup in Minnesota. Furthermore, he also enclosed quite a number of major golf tournaments including the 2002 and ’08 Ryder Cups; the 2010 U.S. Open Championship in California; the 2002 and ’06 British Opens; 2005, ’06, ’08, ’09 and ’12 Masters Tournaments in Augusta, Georgia; and the 2010 PGA Championship in Wisconsin.

Snell also enclosed other major sports events including the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany; the 2000 European Football Championships in Netherlands and Belgium; the 2010 ICC T20 World Cup in the West Indies; the 2001 French Open at Roland Garros; and the 2002 FIFA World Cup in Japan. In addition to that, he also did extensive reports on Tiger Woods’ career over the years.

Snell has also managed to interview several sports personalities including football legend David Beckham and  Pelé; golfers Phil Mickelson, Rory McIlroy, and Ernie Els; then-FIFA president Sepp Blatter; tennis professionals Roger Federer and Serena Williams; and Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps. Prior to joining CNN, he previously worked at Granada Television in Manchester and Radio City Liverpool in the UK where he served as a sports and news anchor and reporter for about 9 years.
