Perry Robinson is an American Multimedia Journalist working for WAFB TV as a reporter and multimedia journalist. He joined the station in March 2021, after previously working as a multimedia journalist at KNOE-TV8 in Monroe, Louisiana.
Perry Robinson Education
Robinson completed high school at Jim Hill High School and then he joined the University of Southern Mississippi in 2012 where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications in 2016. While still studying, Perry also worked as an intern at WAPT-TV Channel 1 in Jackson, Mississippi. He is also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and a former member of the Polemarch of the Kappa Iota Chapter
Perry Robinson Career
Robinson serves as a multimedia journalist and reporter at WAFB TV. His duties at the station are to cover news stories across North Louisiana, edit, shots live, and write scripts. Before joining WAFB TV in March 2021, Perry worked as a multimedia journalist at KNOE-TV8 in Monroe, Louisiana. He stayed with the station for two years from March 2019 to March 2021. Earlier, Perry served as a morning news producer at WTOK-TV in Meridian, Mississippi. Later on, he secured a position as a news reporter working there from August 2016 to March 2019.
Prior to working at WTOK-TV, Robinson worked for the Hub City Television in Hattiesburg where he served as a news producer. During his time there, he delivered several major topics ranging from local to sports to politics. He was also in charge of editing videos, producing, shooting, and gathering interviews. Before joining Hub City Television, Perry served as a sports columnist at The Red Diamond Report from 2015 to 2016.
He previously served as a radio host at Wise Guy Sports Radio Show in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. While there, Robinson delivered live interviews with players and coaches, and hosted a weekly radio program that aired in Pine Belt. He served the station for five months from January 2015 to May 2015.
Perry started his career at American Sports Network working as a sports reporter for less than a year in 2015. He also served as a live sideline reporter where he covered sports events in the Southern Mississippi football team. He also took part in pre-planning meetings and conducted live interviews with coaches and players. For his excellent work, he has been honored with various awards and has been nominated by associations such as the Mississippi Associated Press Broadcasters.
