Rita Braver (Rita Lynn Braver) is an American Emmy Award-winning correspondent working for CBS News. She joined the station in 1972 as a news desk editor. She is best known for her investigative journalism on White House scandals such as the Iran-Contra affair.

Moreover, during the Reagan administration and the drug trial of Washington, D.C. Mayor Marion Barry, she covered the Iran-Contra case. She broke the case of convicted spy Jonathan Pollard and broke the story of the Walker family spy ring. Her journalism career job began in New Orleans working for the CBS affiliate WWL-TV.
