Manuel Bojorquez is an American Correspondent working for CBS News in Miami. He joined the station in 2012 and serves as a National Correspondent covering the US and Latin America.

After completing his studies there, he graduated magna cum laude. While there, he was named Outstanding Broadcast Journalism Student of the Year.

Bojorquez is a national correspondent at CBS News in Miami. He joined the station as a Dallas-based correspondent. In January 2017, he was elevated to the national correspondent for the network’s Miami bureau. He reports across all CBS News broadcasts and platforms. During his tenure at CBS News, he has covered major news events in Texas and throughout the South. In July 2016 during the scene of the Dallas police ambush, he was the first network news correspondent to report. In addition to that, he was part of the team that reported on the tornado that devastated parts of an Arkansas town, and later the team won an Edward R. Murrow Award for the report.

When we come to his reporting, he has reported extensively from Latin America for CBS News. Not long ago, in February 2016 he followed Pope Francis’ visit to Mexico. He has also traveled to Guatemala, El Salvador, Cuba, as well as Argentina. Prior to joining the CBS News team, he worked for WSB-TV in Atlanta. During his working time there, he served the station as a general assignment reporter. He also covered major stories including the first Sunday service at Ebenezer Baptist Church after President Obama’s victory, the 2008 presidential elections, and Tropical Storm Fay.

Before working for WSB-TV, he landed an opportunity to work for KNXV-TV in Phoenix, Arizona in 2002 as a general assignment reporter.  In July 2006, he traveled to Mexico City. While there, he covered the Mexican presidential election and provided daily online articles and photo essays about the election. His journalism career job began in Palm Springs, California in 2000. While there, he worked for KESQ-TV as a general assignment reporter. This was immediately after he graduated magna cum laude from the University of Southern California.
