Sam Ali is an American Anchor/Reporter working with WEYI-TV in Mid-Michigan where he serves the station as a Sports Director since June 2022. Prior to this, he was working with FOX 21 News where he was still serving the station as a Sports Director from January 2018 to June 2022.

Ali works with WEYI-TV in Mid-Michigan as a Sports Director. When he was asked why he took the job at WEYI, he stated that it was his passion for storytelling that led him here. Prior to WEYI, he was serving as a Sports Director at the FOX affiliate in Duluth, MN. Previously, he has also spent time running the sports department of an ABC affiliate station in Marquette, Michigan. Asides from this, he owns a shovel because he learned that one can never be sure whether the snow will be back, no matter what time of the year it is.
He is a proud father to his three children and enjoys helping when he takes his family out to the buffet. He is a Dearborn native and attended Wayne State University in Detroit where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Media Arts and Studies. Asides from this, he also obtained a Diploma from the Specs Howard School of Media Arts. He states that he is happy to be back in Michigan and happier to be a safe distance from both of the locations.
