Savanna Brito Biography
Savanna Brito is an American meteorologist working for WISC as a weekday morning meteorologist since joining the station in April 2024. Previously, she worked as a part-time core class fitness instructor at a local YMCA in Beloit, Wisconsin, for a year. She also spent two years as a weekday meteorologist at WTVO/WQRF in Rockford, Illinois.

Brito joined Valparaiso University in 2016 after finishing her high school education. In 2019, she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Communications. While in college, she forecasted for the Crusaders through Valparaiso University Television. Following her time in Terre Haute, Brito worked as a morning meteorologist at WTVO/WQRF in Rockford, Illinois. She then worked as a part-time core class fitness instructor at a local YMCA in Beloit, Wisconsin, for a year. During her career, she has tracked an EF2 tornado live on the air during the December 10-11, 2021 outbreak.
When Savanna was 6 years old, Brito saw her first funnel cloud and dreamt of being a broadcast meteorologist. She is now excited to forecast and live out her lifelong dream back at home! Also, she loves advancing her knowledge in weather and hopes to obtain meteorology seals in the near future.
Brito is passionate about sharing her love for the weather and visits schools across the region to talk about the weather with students. During her senior year of high school, she was a teacher’s assistant. One of her memorable moments was teaching the 5th-grade students about the weather and doing science experiments together with them.
