Scottie Hunter is an American Anchor and Reporter working for WAFB-TV as a co-anchor at 5 alongside Tisha Powell. He joined the station in April 2015, after previously working for WVAS as a news anchor and reporter.

Hunter attended Billingsley High School in 2005 where he graduated in 2009 with a diploma. He later joined Alabama State University where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Television and Radion in 2012. In addition to this, he was also a member of Alpha Kappa Mu National Honor Society and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.

He has been with the station for more than nine years since he joined in April 2015.
Earlier, Scottie worked for WVAS as a news anchor and reporter from June 2013 to March 2015. Before working at WVAS, he served as a reporter and web producer at WTVY NEWS 4 in Dothan, Alabama. While there, he maintained and supervised the website and contributed to the news operations. He spent one year working for the station from June 2012 to May 2013.
Hunter began his professional career at WSFA 12 News in Montgomery, Alabama where he served as a
news content specialist. He worked for the station for two months from May 2012 to June 2012. Previously, Scottie served as a DJ at WVAS 90.7 FM from August 2009 to June 2012. During his time there, he hosted a jazz show where he answered phone calls and ran the audio board.
