Shirleen Allicot is an American anchor working at WABC-TV where she serves as the co-anchor of the morning and noon newscast.
Prior to joining WABC-TV, she worked at WPVI where she served as the co-anchor of Action News at 4 and at WPHL in Philadelphia as the anchor of the 10 newscasts. Over the years, she has covered everything including the Boston Marathon Bombings, Hurricane Sandy, and the deadly 2015 Amtrak derailment. A number of her notable moments include; doing live reports from London during the Royal Wedding of 2018, and interviewing First Lady Michelle Obama in the White House Kennedy Garden. In addition, she has also worked at News 12 the Bronx, News 12 Long Island, and News 12 Connecticut.
Allicot sharpened her skills while she was in The Bronx where she learned writing, shooting, and editing all of her stories on her own. Ozone Park, Queens is her native home and she attended Hofstra University in Hempstead, Long Island where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism. During her leisure time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, testing her skills in the kitchen, and volunteering.
